In honor of National Roofing week, GAF will be hosting a Tweet chat on Wednesday, July 8, at 4 p.m. EST to discuss how making an impact in your community can help a roofer make an impact in their business – with live tips from contractors who have done it successfully.
GAF will be joined by Chris Zazo from Aspenmark Roofing & Solar, Jay Elie from Ridgecon Construction, both GAF Master Elite™ Roofing Contractors and Ambika Bailey from the National Roofing Contractors Association. Follow #roofchat and @gafroofing on July 8 for the hour-long Twitter discussion and join in the conversation.
As a contractor, your main focus is to expand your business and get more jobs, and there are simple ways you can do that and help your local community at the same time.
Getting involved in charity work is a great way to get involved in your community. It says a lot about your character, helps to increase your brand recognition, and puts your company in a positive light because you support and care about the people you are serving. While you are not going to volunteer just for praise and glory, PR is a nice benefit and there is nothing wrong with being proud of the charitable work your company is doing.
Sponsoring a local sports team, volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, and donating funds for a school benefit are some examples of how your business can contribute and make a difference in the community where you live and work. It also gets your name and brand out there without having to scream it from the rooftops.
We encourage you to participate with us during our Tweet chat to get tips like these and more. We will also be highlighting the good work our contractors are doing by asking them to share their good deeds on social media throughout the week. Remember: July 8 at 4 p.m. EST. Ask your questions and see the answers and tips from those who have made it work.
